AAPT Virtual Coffee Hours are a benefit of membership and open to all AAPT members. Our goal is to provide opportunities for our members to meet virtually in an informal setting to discuss and share teaching methods and practices with your peers.
We began these events as a response to COVID19 and the sudden need for many teachers to quickly adapt to online teaching. The calls typically involve anywhere between 35 and 50 physics educators engaged in dialogue - a healthy mix of live conversation and posting of helpful links and resources in the chat box. After the event, you can access the recording by visiting AAPT COMMUNITIES and searching the tag #VirtualCoffeeHour. The Chat from each event will still be available for your reference even after the event is no longer live.
Typically, the Virtual Coffee Hours occur twice a month on Tuesdays (alternating between a 4:00 and 7:00 PM Eastern start time).
